Carl Brian Scott passed away at home in Ucluelet on September 6, 2026, with his family beside him, following a battle with cancer.
Family was at the centre of Carl’s life. He is remembered by his wife, Judy Gray; his children, Aren and Shaun; his stepchildren, Marcie, Ashley and Thomas; his grandchildren; and his siblings, extended family and friends.
After studying at UBC, Carl spent four decades working in the fishing industry, including managing Ucluelet’s Trapa/PCP plant. He later became a real estate broker and co-owner of RE/MAX Mid-Island Realty offices.
His interests ranged from skiing and fast cars to travel, sunsets and coffee. He also took up piano, bringing patience and determination to learning something new. Those close to him remember his humour, warmth and love of gathering with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in his honour to the BC Cancer Foundation or BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
